New 1G service - not getting more than 300M
I pay for gigabit speed but I am not getting more than 300M. The 100% fiber based service was installed yesterday and I see that my service order and Xfinity pages say that's what I should have. What's the deal? Should I just downgrade to 300M if that's all I'm going to get?
Disappointed.

For testing purposes my connection speed is the same in bridge or router mode but the WiFi AP built-in to the Xfinity gateway (XB7) is better than my Ubiquiti UAP 6+ 300M vs 500M. Period. Wired connection speeds are basically the same at 600M. Not 1G but better than my cellular connection before out here in the country which was 25/5. So ... good but not great nor the 1G promised. Just sayin'

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
