Netgear Nighthawk CM1150v

Hello, I recently got an email saying my internet speed was upgraded to 1.2gbps from 1. I noticed that Comcast says the CM1150V only supports up to 1gbps. Netgear says it supports plans up to 2 gigabits. Why can’t I get these speeds?

Thanks.

Hello there and thank you for reaching out to us via our forums. You are correct that we have recently made some changes to our blazing fast Xfinity Internet. The Nighthawk is a great modem and should not have any issues with these speeds. You have come to the correct place to help you investigate your speeds and service.

Just to make sure everything is correct, when you are testing your speeds are you hardwired with an ethernet cable or testing via WiFi?

Comcast rates that device up 1 gig. It has only gigabit LAN ports. FWIW, to get the new 1200 Gbps speed (or higher) with it, you would need to use built-in LACP / ethernet port aggregation feature to combine two of the ethernet ports.

And you will also need the device / router that you are going to connect to it to also support port aggregation.
