netgear docsis 3.1 mdem cm1000v2
Hi, I am now experiencing random (and often daily or 2-5x/day) frequent disconnects after several years of stable service with my Netgear DOCSIS 3.1 modem CM1000v2.
Sometimes, the modem reconnects itself, in a few minutes to a few hours. When the system is not reconnecting, removing power to the modem and then booting usually connects successfully on the first attempt.
My modem hardware version is 2.02, and the firmware version is V10.01.07 (which Comcast indicates as the most recent update). When connecting CAT 5 cable to my LAN on my PFSense router, I get up to 1.0GBPS max. Using wifi, I get up to ~400 MBPS (max).
The event log for the Modem shows typical recurring errors:
1. UCD invalid or channel unusable;CM-MAC=[Edited: "Personal Information"];CMTS-MAC=[Edited: "Personal Information"];CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
Another critical error: SYNC Timing Synchronization failure:
2. Failed to acquire QAM/QPSK symbol timing;CM-MAC=[Edited: "Personal Information"];CMTS-MAC=00:00:00:00:00:00;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;
Any suggestions, or is it time to replace the modem?
Thanks, William

What do the modem's signal status values look like ? Please also copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

Did you have a chance to try to obtain those signal values via that method ? Please respond right here in your topic on these public help forums. Thank you.
