Netgear CM 2000->ORBI RBR860 slow internet connectivity
Paying for Gigabit extra service. Upgraded recently from a Netgear Nighthawk X4S AC3200 C7800 Cable modem/router to a Netgear CM2000 modem connected to a Netgear Orbi Mesh RBR860 with a single RBS860 satellite. A Netgear GS324 switch is connected to the RBR860 ethernet port. Home is wired with CAT 6 cable. All patch cables are CAT 6 cables.
Download speeds when connecting my laptop through the C7800 modem/router->GS324 were in the range of 900-920 Mbps.
Download speeds when connecting my laptop through the CM2000->Orbi RBR860->GS324 ~90 Mbps.
Download speeds when connecting my laptop directly to the CM2000 is ~90 Mbps
I've contacted the both the Netgear community forum and Netgear technical support regarding the dismal download speeds. The latter suggested (as expected) that I contact Xfinity.
If anyone has experienced a similar issue and found a way to restore/increase internet speeds I'd appreciate hearing from you.
