NBA 2K25 and Akamai CDN Blocker
Hi,
So for the last three weeks, I've been trying to play NBA 2k25 online. Now with troubleshooting with them, I performed a Tracert (Trace Route) Test and they claim that my ISP is blocking this service called Akamai CDN and that I needed to go to Xfinity for help. And now over the last week or so, I've been told conflicting things with Xfinity from claims that Xfinity cannot fix it, the Akamai CDN blocker can be disabled, changing DNS ports, etc. but the problem has yet to be fixed. Is there anyone who is also experiencing this? Surely, I can't be the only one. I've seen other posts at least that other people are having issues with this "Akamai CDN" being blocked for other 2K games.

I don't work for Comcast or have any special knowledge, but I suspect that Comcast is not blocking Akami outright. They are one of the largest CDNs on the internet. Now Comcast could absolutely be letting their peering relationship with Akami remain oversubscribed. Comcast has a long history of doing this kind of thing in order to extort more money out of the companies they peer with. They've done this to both Netflix and Amazon in the past.
Good luck!
