My Internet keeps cutting off and then it won’t come back on for hours

My Internet keeps cutting off randomly. I unplug it from the wall. I let it sit and plug it back in. It’s cycles through all the colors and it just sits there flashing green for the next few hours and then I’ll come on. It’ll work for a few minutes and then I’ll stop

Good Morning, @user_9as3gp! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums. I completely understand how frustrating it must be to drop connection as my entire household relies on the connection for school and work so I totally understand. I do appreciate you sharing those troubleshooting steps @EG

Have you had a chance to follow the link to troubleshoot the connection concerns? If so, I would be more than happy to further dive into the account and connection with you to ensure your connection is more stable. Please send us a DM if the troubleshooting steps are still unsuccessful.

Please send us a direct chat message with your full name and complete service address to “Xfinity Support”. To do so, click on the chat icon located at the top right of this forum's page.

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon.
  3. Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
  6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press Enter to send it.
