Multiple drops of Internet connection while network stays connected

Changed to brand new coax line from exterior box that runs directly to Xfinity modem, swapped Xfinity modem with new from store and multiple calls to tech support team

Hi there. We understand how frustrating this is, especially after replacing the coax line, exchanging the gateway, and contacting support multiple times without resolving the drops.

Since your devices remain connected to the home network while internet access stops, this may mean the gateway is temporarily losing communication with the Xfinity network rather than the WiFi connection itself failing. The next time it happens, please check whether the gateway light changes and whether a device connected by Ethernet also loses internet access. That will help confirm whether the issue affects the full connection or only wireless devices.

Because the gateway and coax line have already been replaced, we need to review the signal history, recent modem resets, connection errors, and prior troubleshooting tied to the account. Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can take a closer look?

How to send us a direct message:

- Click “Sign In” if necessary.
- Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.
- Click the “Start new conversation” icon, which looks like a pencil and paper.
- In the “To:” line, type “Xfinity Support.”
- As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.
- An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:” line.
- Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
- Press Enter to send it.

Talk to you there!
