Modem resetting daily at 3-4a

Sorry I flipped around and saw this is an issue many were having already, but I couldn't find a solution. The modem is resetting around this time fairly consistently now. It used to be once every 5-6 weeks MAYBE, but lately it's been a few times a week. I work overnight and I stream on Twitch and even a brief disconnect causes my viewership to crater even though I very rarely have actual internet connectivity issues. I understand that is a time that effects the fewest customers so it makes sense to do the maintenance at these hours.

I'm hoping someone can give me a resolution. I replaced the modem today but clearly it's a systemic issue scheduled on Xfinity's end. I've combed through 10.0.0.1 and can't find a "preference" option or any way to resolve this. Is there any way to prevent this consistent resetting during my peak work hours? If I could just find a way to set the router to a different time zone so that it would complete these auto-resets in the afternoon or even a few hours later it would be a life saver.

ZacharyR1 Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forms. As someone who works from home, I understand your concern and happy to help get this issue resolved with you.

To prevent consistent resetting during peak work hours, you can try the following steps:
1. Restart your modem remotely using the Xfinity app. Sign in, tap WiFi > View WiFi equipment > Gateway, and then Restart.
2. Restart the device you're using to access the internet.
3. If you're an Xfinity Voice customer, restart the modem by pressing the Reset button on the back until the lights go off, then release and wait for the lights to come back on.
4. Check for local outages using the Xfinity Status Center Outage Map.
5. Consider adding WiFi Boost Pods to extend WiFi coverage in areas with limited connectivity. Unfortunately, there is no option to set the router to a different time zone for auto-resets.

Please let us know if you continue to have an issue.

Hi Christy. Thanks for the response. I'm not sure if I wasn't clear. I am not using WiFi. I am connected via ethernet. I need a solution to the frequency of the "auto-resets". I need them to happen at a different time or happen less frequently. Thanks.

Hello, @ZacharyR1! Unlike our cable boxes where you can adjust the daily reset time, there is no function to do so on the modem. However, this function should not be necessary. Unless there is some type of work being done in the area, the modem should not normally reset daily. Just to confirm, are you using any type of stand-alone router in conjunction with the modem?

No stand alone router. I'm plugged in directly to the Xfinity issued modem. I can't see the model number. It's white. I replaced the modem about a week ago when I made this post and other than the first day it hasn't for rebooted since.

There really really ought to be an option to reset at your preference as opposed to being hit with the updates randomly in the middle of the night. Or communication should be sent out. I get 800 emails from Xfinity about promotions that are make believe or want me to pay more. An email telling me a scheduled update would be happening even a day in advance would be huge for me. Preferably I'd be able to update at a time that doesn't impact my business.
