mb8611 weird status light issue?

So I have a mb8611 modem and have the 1200 down 20 up or whatever is supposed to be. Im getting the correct speed at my router and the internet is working fine in the home but on the modem the internet light the little globe is off, the up and down stream arrows are sloid blue and the networking light is blinking blue like normal but the globe is off. When the unit reboots the globe lights up so I know its not a bad led light unless there is a separate blue led light that is out. Just was wondering if it means anything if the globe(internet) light is off but you still have normal service?

I will attach the connection reports

Please post the balance of the downstream channels as well as the upstream channels.

Hello @josjohnson ! From what I was able to gather via Google, that globe light represents LAN and the status of the light is as follows:

SOLID WHITE Ethernet link at 100BT
SOLID GREEN Ethernet link at 1GE
SOLID BLUE Ethernet link at 2.5GE
UNLIT No connection

That being said, if you DO have a connection and no trouble using your service then you should be good to go. According to the screenshots, nothing appears to be out of the ordinary. I can suggest that if just the light is the worry and service itself seems OK to you as well, then you may want to inquire with Motorola. If you would like we can double-check the signal levels to be sure. If you want to move forward with that, please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address. Thanks!

The signal status values at that snapshot in time were good. Perhaps there is noise ingress into the line(s) /  an upstream channel / return path impairment somewhere.

There are other signal stat values that can't be read by the modem. They are the "Upstream Rx Power" (Upstream Receive Power Level), the "Upstream SNR Ch." (Upstream Signal To Noise Ratio), and the "Upstream ICFR" (In Channel Frequency Response). These are as equally important in diagnosing connectivity issues as are the modem's stats.

I'm going to escalate your issue to the Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) who are available to these boards. They will be able to poll the CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) to check for any real-time degradation and / or error reports, see your node / cable plant, and modem health, and see whether or not everything is in the green zone. They can also see a history plot for the modem and poll the CMTS for those upstream receive signal stats.

You should get a reply here in your topic. Good luck !

Hmmm..... FWIW, everything that I find on Google says that that light is the "Online" / "Internet" indicator;

The bottom light is the LAN / ethernet light.
