MB8600 Dropping Internet Connection Daily
Hello,
I have the 200 mbps internet plan from Xfinity.
Xfinity sent me an email last month informing me that my (DOCSIS 3.0, Zoom Cable Modem 3.0 Series 1094) router will no longer be supported after mid-March. I have had no issues whatsoever with my internet connection with this router.
I recently purchased an Xfinity-approved DOCSIS 3.1 router, the Motorola MB8600. However, the connection randomly drops about once per day.
I have tried plugging directly into the router via an ethernet cable to confirm that the modem no longer has access to the internet, so I don't think the issue has anything to do with my router (which has also worked flawlessly for years). I can resolve the outage by restarting the modem, either using the power switch on the device, or via the Xfinity app. During the outages, the Xfinity app reports that the router is connected with no issues.

What do the modem's signal stats look like ? Try getting them here; http://192.168.100.1
Please copy all of the text in its entirety of the *Downstream Power Levels*, the *SNR's* (Signal to Noise Ratios), and the *Upstream Power Level* numbers and paste them into your next post.

The signal stats were very good at that snapshot in time. Are there any modem RF error log entries being shown ? If so, please post them as well in their entirety (copy and paste them, don't post a screenshot) but redact the CM MAC and the CMTS MAC addresses for your privacy. They are considered to be personal information. The posting of personally identifying information is a violation of their forum guidelines. The forum bot will not allow your post to be seen publically.

No issues with the internet connection yet today (2/3/2023) nor were there issues yesterday (2/2/2023). Last outage was Wednesday evening (2/1/2023). I also swapped which of the two coax cable outlets that the router was connected to on Wednesday night, so it's possible that has solved the issue if you are not seeing any problems since 2/1/2023 in the logs.
