MAC Filtering
I just upgraded my internet and now my printer won't connect. I have an HP 8620 printer and when I print out the page it says that it fails at the no filtering. I have gone into the connection center to update the filtering and it still fails. I even manually added the printers MAC address into the connection section and it still can't connect. How can I get my printer to connect to the network?

In case you can't get help here please check your printer manual. There are alternative methods found there.
Wi-Fi Direct would allow connections between computer (or other devices) and printer without the need for Internet.

I meant Wi-Fi Direct in first reply. Edit did not work.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04085902 WiFi specification says 802.11 b/g/n 2.4G ONLY.
If it's an Xfinity gateway, you'll have to downgrade the WiFi, and split out 2.4G and 5G radio signal. I don't know how current this is, but use the phone app and change WiFi "modes" as Xfinity calls them: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-channel-xfinity-xfi . If it's a different gateway/WiFi router, you'll have to get the manual and see what 802.11 radio standard it's capable of.
Or, use WiFi direct as @MNtundraRET says. Range is kind of limited, but it works fine. It's also got an Ethernet port, so you could just put it on your network.

It worked, but when posting an edited message in these bargain-basement Sprinklr forums, it often takes several seconds for the edit to show up. You might need to reload the page several times.

I have the exact same problem with two HP Printers - an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 and an 8610. Both worked perfectly on my previous xfinity CGM4331COM that had started to fail. We just upgraded to the newer 10G router yesterday, with what we had thought was the most painless upgrade, transferring all of the previous router configuration to the new router, including all of the previously recognized MAC addresses on our extensive 25-node SOHO network, with the exception of our printers.
We went through the normal process of trying to add the prrinters back to the network and hit the 'MAC address filtering may be enabled" error, preventing the printers from being added to the network. Trying to manually add the printers to the network also is a complete repro failure. Yes, our network is segmented out at the router, and we are using the 2.4gHz band for the printers as before and the same SSID.
I believe this is an actual bug in the network configuration transfer process, as this was never an issue with the previous router, and this problem is persistent for both printers.
