Lost access via public hotspot in San Francisco

I have been using the public hotspot next to my home in San Francisco without many problems -- I prefer it because it does not use my plan's data. Yesterday it stopped working and has not come back.

I called tech support and after waiting on hold for about half an hour I got a clueless guy who did not understand the difference between xfinitywifi and xfinitymobile, was telling me that using my own home network would not use my data, and so on. When after about 15 minutes he realized he does not understand anything, he hang up.

There's nobody on this planet that would consider this tolerable. It's a disgrace.

Unless I hear from a knowledgeable tech support by tomorrow I will have to reconsider my Internet and Mobile accounts with Comcast.

Incidentally, when I try to login to my home network wifi it prompts me for a password. I do not recall it -- how do I find it?

Also: if I login to my home network wifi, I want to confirm what tech support told me -- that it does not consume my data.
