Live Person

Why can't I speak with a live person?? I think it's a joke that you're stuck speaking with an AI agent when you call and when you try to do a chat. I've been with Xfinity for many years now, and I've never dealt with the mess I've dealt with the past 2 weeks. I realize they're doing updates but to not be able to speak with someone to find out any type of information is ridiculous. I work in a healthcare call center and work from home and I have lost two days of work my connection has been in and out. And I continue to get the text messages that says it'll be completed within the day which is a joke. Basically it's saying during business hours I won't have my internet but then when it's time for the guys to clock out then I can have my internet back that is ridiculous. Xfinity should have live people on the payroll that can at least answer a phone or communicate with a customer I understand that things happen and sometimes things take longer than expected but it would be nice to be able to speak with somebody rather than have a robot tell me the same answer and then hang up on you! And after dealing with this headache maybe it's time I switch service providers because definitely shows what Xfinity thinks about its customers when you can't even speak to someone.

@user_a3oobs

Thanks for reaching out. We do apologize for any inconvenience. I see you reached out to us on another post (https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/customer-service/outages/6aba6db80c73126613198637?commentId=6aba74878f645d1c6cbbf042)  and we asked you to send us a direct message so we can assist you further.

When there are service interruptions in the area and you reach out to our chat assistants or our phone number, depending on the option you pick, you may not be able to get a live agent due to the service interruption.

While the service interruption is happening in you can always check to see if you have access to our xfinity wi-fi hotspots from your location. https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/about-xfinity-wifi-internet

But  what's great about this platform is that you can speak to a live agent at any time.

If you would like further assistance, please send us a direct message including your first and last name to complete the service address

Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:

  1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
  2. Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.
  3. Click the “Start new conversation” (pencil and paper) icon.
  4. In the “To:" line, type “Xfinity Support”.
  5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.
  6. An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:" line.
  7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
  8. Press “Enter” to send it.
