Lagging in games started a week ago

I am lagging in CSGO game horribly started more than a week ago. nothing changed in my house. I upgraded my internet to fastest from xfinity few days ago. lag is still there. I am hard wired to a strong pc and didnt have much of a problem like this for the last 2 years with the same set up. anyone has any ideas how to fix it?
