ISP's DHCP is not functioning properly (ASUS RT-AC68U router)

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue similar to the one reported here:

https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/your-isps-dhcp-is-not-functioning-properly-asus-router/602daed6c5375f08cdf792db

Xfinity came out to work in our area recently, and ever since then my router loses its connection every hour our so. This disconnection is always preceded by a DHCP error:

Dec 11 21:02:30 WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.
Dec 11 21:02:31 nat: apply redirect rules
Dec 11 21:02:35 WAN Connection: Ethernet link down.
Dec 11 21:02:40 WAN Connection: Ethernet link up.
Dec 11 21:02:40 rc_service: wanduck 171:notify_rc restart_wan_if 0
Dec 11 21:02:45 WAN Connection: ISP's DHCP did not function properly.
Dec 11 21:03:00 nat: apply nat rules (/tmp/nat_rules_eth0_eth0)
Dec 11 21:03:01 wan: finish adding multi routes
Dec 11 21:03:01 miniupnpd[527]: shutting down MiniUPnPd
Dec 11 21:03:01 miniupnpd[8888]: version 1.9 started
Dec 11 21:03:01 miniupnpd[8888]: HTTP listening on port 37196
Dec 11 21:03:01 miniupnpd[8888]: Listening for NAT-PMP/PCP traffic on port 5351
Dec 11 21:03:05 WAN Connection: WAN was restored.

It looks like @ComcastChe  was able to solve it by sending a provisioning signal to the modem. Wondering if that's the solution for me as well? Thanks
