Hello @user_sx6y6c, and thank you for reaching out here on our Xfinity Community forums.
@EG has already provided some great advice for checking whether there may be a known service interruption and, importantly, asked about the lights on your modem. That information can help us understand what the equipment is doing when the connection is unavailable.
Could you tell us a little more about what you’re experiencing? For example, is the Internet completely offline on every device, and are the lights on your modem or gateway solid, blinking, or off?
Once we have a little more detail, we’ll be happy to help determine the best next step.

First. Check their site for official info on any possible local outages here;

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/check-service-outage
Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.
Or you can use their Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps
Is/are the indicator light/lights on the modem lit steadily, or are they blinking ?
