Internet

Hi, I live in northwest louisiana and recently i’ve been having trouble with my internet, the problem is that I think my internet is being routed a different way then it use to be and is causing it to feel bad(lagging in games, buffering alot) and this didnt use to happen until about a week ago. When I try to play video games my ping is higher and the lowest ping i can get is to the east servers(virginia) when it use to be Dallas( Centeal servers)

. Why is this happening and is there a way to rout it back to dallas servers

@user_0y69rg I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with your connection. Have you tried resetting your modem?

Can you tell me about the devices connected to your modem? Do you have a router, splitters, amplifiers etc connected?

Is the modem plugged into a power strip?

Hi, yes i have tried resetting the modem. We dont have any router, amplifiers or anything connected just the modem and also the modem is plugged directly into the wall, no power strip. We have 2 sometimes 3 tvs, An Xbox Console, and a couple of cellphones connected to the modem but those we connected before we started having trouble so I dont know if those could be the issue.
