Internet speeds after network upgrades - Southeast Michigan
Guys,
I don't want to be too negative, but I've noticed a big drop in speeds over the last few months. My home network hasn't changed—it's still 1Gb/s Ethernet based on Cat5e, Ubiquity switching all 1Gb/s, and Firewalla Purple as the firewall gateway.
I recently upgraded my modem to a HitronTechnologies CODA56 to get an upload speed of more than 40 Mb/s. I have the 1200/200 package.
The raw results from Firewalla are shown below. This box has a test built in....I used to be able to get above 900 Mb/s (940–960) without any problems.
My LAN test on the Firewalla box from PC...
Upstream and downstream modem signals are in the specs. It seems to me that the series of Xfinity upgrades over the past few months is what caused all of the performance degradation. My location is Rochester, Michigan. I wanted to know if anyone else has similar issues?
