Internet service drops and increased latency...Frustrated!
I have my own modem, which always creates a more challenging troubleshooting scenario. However, I am very confident that my issues are not caused by my equipment. Here's why...
I experience great internet, at times. At other times I've been experiencing terrible service. Increased latency and constantly dropped connections. This is where it gets really frustrating. Once I schedule an appointment for a technician to come by my service behaves great. I have logs showing all of these performance problems; however, unless the technician shows up and tests my connection during one of my "outages" everything checks out. When I have service issues, I constantly get Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received errors on my modem.
Being that my service just miraculously starts to work when I schedule a tech appointment leads me to believe there is something wrong with upstream equipment that is being temporarily "fixed" and then the routing defaults back to the bad equipment at some point.
Just don't know where to go from here.

Hello, @user_nvul5o! Thank you for taking the time to visit our Xfinity Community Forum, and for creating this post with your connectivity concerns. I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you've had getting to the bottom of it, and I would love to see what our Digital Care Team can do to help! We're awesome to work with because we'll do everything in our power to review and resolve issues quickly. First, have you recently reviewed these Connection Troubleshooting Tips? If not, that's a great place to start. Then, if you still need our help, we're happy to take a closer look and monitor things with you as necessary. We can also help schedule additional Trouble Calls (tech visits) if we need to. Let me know if you notice anything else that can be adjusted on your end as you review those tips! Otherwise, we'll probably have you send us a direct message to get started with running some diagnostics.
