Internet outages

I’m not looking for some political fluff response to my question. I want to know the actual physical reason(s) that Xfinity suffers from so many outages! And they have lasted as long as 12-18 hours which is insane!! We have two teens in college and one work from home parent! This literally costs us money! What [Edited: "Language"] is the problem?
