Intermittent internet drops
I work from home and am at my pc all day. Today I have been getting internet drops very consistently every 1-4 minutes of about 4-6 seconds so when I am on a Teams meeting it shows that I have no connection for that time and the connection icon in the system tray changes to show no internet access. This has been happening all day today and I noticed it yesterday while watching streaming devices. I get the same behavior whether on Wifi or directly connected to the modem. The modem model is CGM4981COM and I have had it about 1 year. I have reset the modem multiple times and the Xfinity assistant says everything is good except I still get these drops consistently. I don't know what the problem is but something has changed since yesterday as the service has been really reliable for the past year until yesterday. I think I may need a technician to come out but I can't figure out anyway to call anyone at Comcast to request that :(

Please start here if you wish;

Perhaps you may be able to save the possible $100.00 charge for the tech visit if they find the problem to be with your stuff if you can fix it yourself.
