Intermittent Disconnections- Motorolla 7700

  We have experienced intermittent internet disruptions for 10 years now.  I have tried acquiring new hardware, we've run all new cable wires to the panel and all new electrical to the outlet where the modem is connected.  We've had 3 technicians, that I recall, look at the issue, the last of whom ran new wires.  I have no idea what else to try.  Signal drops for longer durations generally 5-6 times per week, speeds are generally ~5 mbps, I think there are many "little drops" that occur with much more frequency.  My work VPN will drop and reconnect ~40 times per day sometimes.  Any ideas?

Hello, @user_ae0915 and thank you for the post describing the issue your experiencing with frequent drops in service. You're in the right place for help! Thank you for explaining the troubleshooting steps you've taken already, as well. 

 

Does this issue only happen while connected through your VPN, or does it also happen without a VPN connection?

 

Do you notice these drops during certain times of the day, or randomly?
