Incorrect IP location

I upgraded my service and received a new modem 2 weeks ago. Now FuBOTV thinks my IP is here:

{"postal":"20737","dma":"511","country_code":"USA","country_code2":"US","country_name":"united states","region_code":"MD","connection_type":"broadband","asn":"7922","as_name":"comcast cable communications llc","ip_address":"x.x.x.x","display_name":"Washington DC","network_allowed":true}

I followed the advice here concerning correcting the GeoIP services:
https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/location-trouble/62352c85c0176926fec5703d?commentId=6235e661c0176926fec5798d

But at least two of them are already correct (IPData.co and MaxMind) and none of them contain the location data the Fubo API is pulling above.

Every company or content provider is free to use whatever geo locate service they wish.  They are also free to update their own databases on whatever schedule they they decide on or by whatever level of service they pay for.

If you are having an issue with a particular service, you'll have better luck by contacting their customer support, especially if it's a paid service.  IP address blocks are shuffled around frequently and are pretty notorious for not being all that accurate.  It takes a while for all the private data harvesters/collectors to catch up.

@flatlander3 their response was to update the Zip listed as my "Home" which was the opposite of useful. this modem is not in my "Home" zip but is where I am travelling.
