I never get close to the "up to 500Mbps" speed I pay for. Will it get even slower if I downgrade to "up to 300Mbps"??

user_9yobjz Hello! Thank you for reaching out to us here on our Community Forum. We advise speeds "up to" because speeds will fluctuate normally especially if you primarily use a wireless connection. There are things within a home that may cause the speeds not to be as fast as they can (brick walls, placement of modem, internal wiring). Your speeds should still be close to the advertised speed you are paying for. Since you mentioned you are receiving speeds of about half of what you should be seeing, please send a Direct Message with your full name and address so that we can investigate this further.
