HP printer issues with new Xfinity modem

Help! Ever since I installed a new Xfinity router my HP Envy printer goes offline and will not shut down manually. I have to unplug and plug in the printer to shut down and to print. It connects to the network with no problem after doing this.  My printer did not have these issues prior to installing the new modem. I print wirelessly from my laptop, tablet and phone. All have the same issue with printing. I've exhausted every suggestion I could find online. Help!

Verify your WIFI settings of the printer such as the SSID password to make sure

it can connect to the router.   Not being able to shutdown the printer could

indicate it is stuck and waiting for a timeout of sorts.  This could be due to a misconfiguration

on the printer.

I could also be a coincidense that your printer is failing at the same time you got the new router -

but hopefully not.

Thanks! There is no problem with the connection from the router to the printer. The printer works fine for a while once I unplug and plug it back in.  Then it reverts to being offline. Very frustrating! It did cross my mind that maybe there is something wrong with the printer itself but it worked just fine prior to the new router.

Bluesanta37,  I recently got the X1 modem and have 2 HP printers that keep having the exact same problem.  Did you ever solve that problem, as I see your post was from back in April of 2020 ?
