I'm asking for assistance unblocking a VOIP device on ports 5060 and 5061 ...

Those ports are not listed on https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/list-of-blocked-ports. If you are using an Xfinity gateway, you might try temporarily turning off Xfinity CyberSecure (formerly known as xFi Advanced Security) to see if it is causing the problem. See https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/using-xfinity-xfi-advanced-security

Hello @user_6i4bqq, and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums.

As @BruceW has already helpfully pointed out, Ports 5060 and 5061 are not included on Xfinity's published list of blocked ports, so they are not generally blocked by the Xfinity network.

It may be helpful to verify with the VoIP device provider whether they require TCP, UDP, or TLS on ports 5060/5061, and whether they can confirm the device is reaching their servers but failing registration, or if the traffic is not reaching them at all. That information can often help narrow down where any issues are occurring.

The Tin Can Kids VOIP device needs outbound TCP and UDP access on ports 5060 and 5061. It also needs outbound UDP ports 10000 through 20000 for call audio, plus MQTT port 8883. Tin Can company reports a lower-than-expected upload speed coming from my end (a properly configured 2.4GHz network). Company says Tin Can internet traffic gets filtered or blocked by ISP after it leaves my home network. Recommends unblocking for domain *tincan.kids.

I'm using CAX30 Netgear cable modem.
