How do I watch my Xfinity channels via ethernet only
Hey Guys,
My house has cable service to the demarc panel in the basement and there is no coax cable anywhere in the house after that. I have a cable modem (Motorola MB8611 DOCSIS 3.1 Multi-Gig Cable Modem) that connects to my Ubiquity unifi Dream Machine. My UDM connects to a 24 port switch that feed all the ports in my house.
I have samsung TV's all connected to the switch and would like to watch my xfinity line up. What am I missing?

Hey @user_cfd91c! Thanks for being an Xfinity customer and reaching out. So you're trying to watch cable TV on your Samsung TV with no coax cable? Is that correct? Just trying to understand what's going on here.

Yes,
That is correct. I don't have cable delivery to the rooms in my house, just cat 5e.

If you want to watch traditional / legacy / linear / QAM-based TV from a cable company then a cable box / coax cable is needed. Ethernet would be used for streaming TV from the internet.
