How do I report a damaged Xfinity utility box without scheduling a service appointment?
I'm hoping someone from Xfinity can help because I've run out of options.
There is a damaged Xfinity utility box/pedestal in my neighborhood that appears to be causing a service outage. I'm not trying to schedule a technician to come to my house—I simply want to report the damaged equipment so someone can come repair it.
Here's everything I've already tried:
- Texted OUT to 266278.
- Checked and reported through the outage tools.
- Called customer service and waited on hold.
- Chatted with the virtual assistant.
- Chatted with a live agent.
- Tried every reporting option I could find.
Every single time, I'm told I need to schedule an appointment at my home. That's not the issue. The issue is damaged Xfinity equipment in the neighborhood.
To make matters more frustrating, the outage isn't even showing on the Xfinity outage map, so the system keeps treating this as an individual service problem instead of a network issue.
How can I report damaged Xfinity infrastructure so it gets routed to the maintenance or line crew instead of residential customer service? There has to be a way to report a broken utility box without scheduling an unnecessary home appointment.
If any Xfinity employees or moderators can help get this to the correct department, I'd really appreciate it.
