Horrible Reliability!

XFinity absolutely stinks when it comes to delivering professional, reliable internet, and they make it so that you *cannot* reach a real human being for help.  Use the Xfinity Assistant, call the 800 number - SAME THING: routing you around and around to nowhere with automation, but never letting you actually talk to someone.

We've lived in our house since April 2024, so 4.5 months.  In that time, there have been so many outages.  They'll tell you via text that they expect you to be up and running in a few hours, but most times, it could be 12 hours and no service.  As I write this, we are out of service now - 4 hours, and it was supposed to be back up way before now.

In our community, there are lawn signs advertising Xfinity service - just call the sales person and number listed.  I called the guy trying to get a real phone number so I could talk to a human being.  He gave me one for my local area, but when I called, I had to press a digit, and then all it did was route me to the same ridiculous 800 number where you're "talking" with an AI robot/voice response service - and of course, never being able to talk to a human being.

At our previous house, we lived there 6 years and *never* had a single outage, not one!

Unfortunately, Xfinity is the *only* provider for my area, so they've got us [Edited: Language].

I write software, and need to be able to connect remotely to my job and be online - without this nonsense.

As soon as another provider becomes available in my area, [Edited: Language]

I've been out for 3 days and no one can tell me why. All I get is they are working in my neighborhood but no one is there.

Working internet service is definitely important for all aspects of life but most especially in regard to working from home! We would be happy to take a look at what's been happening here. Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address. Thanks!
