High Upstream Power Levels
They seem to increase every day. I've removed all splinters weeks ago. That helped for a while but now the levels are up in the middle to high 50s and I'm losing channels

And I'm starting to see this in the modem logs
"TCS Partial Service;CM-MAC=-MAC=;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;"

@roTor710 Done.
You may need a tech visit for this but see if any of this stuff applies;
In an effort to try to obtain better connectivity / more wiggle room, check to see if there are there any excess/unneeded coax cable splitters in the line leading to the modem that can be eliminated/re-configured. Any splitters that remain should be high quality and cable rated for 5-1000 MHz, bi-directional, and no gold colored garbage from Radio Shack, Home Depot, Target, etc. Splitters should be swapped with known to be good / new ones to test.
Also check the coax cable for any damage such as cuts, nicks, abrasions, kinks, sharp bends, etc.
If there aren't any unneeded splitters that can be eliminated and if your coax wiring setup can't be reconfigured so that there is a single two-way splitter connected directly off of the drop from the street / pole with one port feeding the modem and the other port feeding the rest of the house/equipment with additional splits as needed and you've checked all the wiring and fittings for integrity and tightness and refresh them by taking them apart then check for and clean off any corrosion / oxidation on the center wire and put them back together again, then perhaps it's best to book a tech visit to investigate and correct.
Bear in mind that if the premises facing techs can not find or fix a problem at your home, it is they who are responsible for escalating it to their line / network / maintenance dept. techs. The problem may lie beyond your home in the local neighborhood infrastructure somewhere but it is their S.O.P. to start at the home. And if the problem is found to be on their side of the demarcation point, there will not be any charge.
Good luck !

I'm surprised that you are even able to be online ! Is the modem rebooting spontaneously ?

Seems that your only recourse is to get a tech out to investigate and correct the problem as I stated earlier.

I'm going to escalate this to the Comcast corporate employees that are available to these boards. They will be able to book a tech appointment for you.

Hmmm.. The power company may even ask you to consult with a local low-voltage electrician about this. Many times this turns out to be a problem with the premise's neutral leg A.C. power wiring. There may be a voltage potential between the premises A.C. wiring and the grounding / bonding of the coax cable. The A.C. wiring system voltage tries to ground out through the coax instead of using its own ground because it can't for some reason. Not to panic you but this can also be a potential fire hazard. Please circle back again with an update. Good luck !

I did a little research and noticed that most cable installations require the coax to be bonded to the home's grounding rod. Well mine is grounded to the incoming water pipe on the other side of the house from the electrical meter. Should I report this and try to get Comcast to to move the service to the other side of the house?

I DMed the person handling this and let them know of the problem. Guess I'll have to wait and see.
