High upload latency

Hello,

I have been having upload latency issues just as I have seen some other accounts on here that have asked but never resolved. First I’d like to not get all the dumb questions about if im just lagging one game, or if im over WiFi or Ethernet .

I have multiple pcs, all wired or WiFi , I have had 3 techs come visit and check speeds to the line and the modem. The last tech has given me another new gateway , has been the 4th modem with the same issue . I have also reached out the “Advanced tech team” probably 50+ times and nobody can seem to even understand the difference between bandwidth and latency .

I have the gigabit plus plan and I range from 800-1200 mbs , at 25 ish Ms.  However my upload depending on time of day, pretty much every night at least from 7pm-11pm  my upload is down to about 20-30 mbs and from 110 ~800 Ms .

I have been dealing with trying to get a straight answer for this over a year now and nobody can follow up to fix it . The techs who came said they don’t know how to fix it so they had sent the ticket up and they were supposed to monitor the connection for 2 weeks . After the two week period I did not receive any answer on the ticket and also when I try to call 20 plus reps they couldn’t even see that there was a remaining ticket .

So please , I have a pretty good grasp on how internet architecture works and I’d like to have somebody who actually knows how to help me or put me in touch with somebody that does .

@user_ktlv5y - FWIW, it sounds like your local HFC Plant might be over saturated, and the way they add additional capacity, is they do "Node Splitting", basically add additional fiber Node to increase the bandwidth, and that type of a project has to go through engineering design and approvals for construction to implement, but there is always cost consideration...

Might also want to review this Post, with a suggested path forward.

"An update for others in the same situation.  I decided to escalate the ticket here: https://support.xfinity.com/svp-contact-form..."
