Hey @user_77dc13! Thank you for taking the time to reach out and being part of the Xfinity family. It's not hidden, your device will choose which network its best for it based on preference and distance. You can rename the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz in the modem settings. you can get there by putting (http://10.0.0.1) in your browser.
mine also says hidden network. and that is not the name of the network. when family members visit that can't find the network to connect to. How do I change this?
Please re-read this thread. My post from 2 months ago explains what the "Hidden" network broadcast is...
As for the Guest Network", the Comcast rented gateway devices do not offer that feature. They intend for you to have your guests use the *xfinitywifi* public hotspot that the gateway also broadcasts as a *guest network*.

Hey @user_b31020 I see EG provided some really helpful information about this issue earlier in the thread. EG had mentioned when you see a broadcast name / SSID named "Hidden", That is an additional network name that we broadcast. It is used for interfacing with our amazing Xfinity home security . Our modems also broadcast our Xfinity WiFi hotspots for more information about our Wi-Fi hotspots we have this awesome article
