Taking it to your local Xfinity store to be swapped out for another would be the fastest option, or ship it back for free via UPS and have them ship you another one. You can even get *home pickup*.
Were you able to get your modem switched out? Replacing the modem at your nearest Xfinity store will be the fastest. Before you go we recommend setting up an appointment at xfinity.com/store. If you still have not and would like for us to send you one via mail please send us a direct message with your full name and service address.
Make sure you are signed in here in the Xfinity Forum. Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Message" icon (square chat icon in the upper right corner of your screen next to the bell icon)
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
