Hardwire additional computer to my internet

I have a visitor coming to our home that will need to hardwire their computer directly into our Xfinity. How is this done?

If you connect it to your gateway with an Ethernet cable, it should accept it without any problems.

A wi-fi connection would require entering your network password.

Below is a photo of my Xfinity box to which the main cable is attached.

Would the Ethernet cable be attached into the (partially hidden) blue-marked plug-in on the right side?

That's a cable TV device. You need to plug it into your internet cable modem / router / combo gateway device, whichever it is that you have.
