Gig Internet Upload Cuts out every ten to fifteen minutes (intermittent)

My problem is nearly identical to this problem from over a year ago: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/your-home-network/my-upload-speed-cuts-out-randomly/631b0d0781a02c6d08bf71ac

Unfortunately, that topic was closed without any solution posted. So here is my full history:

Just over two weeks ago (November 26th) Xfinity notified my that they would be doing maintenance in my area (neighborhood) to upgrade the network and I might experience intermittent connection issues.

It lasted the day and they completed their work and no issues happened after that ...until today (December 8). I've power cycled the Xfinity Modem/Router, I've inplugged it and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then plugged it back in. None of this has worked. I called Xfinity support and spoke with them for nearly an hour and they were unable to fix it. Part of the issue is that in their "diagnostics" they don't see any connection issues.

At this point the only solution I can see to fix this is to just find another ISP.

I'm having the same issues in the Chicago, Illinois area.  Last night Xfinity did some maintenance and all day today the internet has been choppy and laggy every 5 to 10 minutes.  I try connecting to anything online and I keep getting disconnected.
