FW.IPv6 FORWARD drop and FW.IPv6 INPUT drop. Causes internet to drop multiple times a day. Need a technician.

Hello,

I just got my internet equipment at the start of August, and this problem has been plaguing me for the past few weeks.

The Internet gets cut off multiple times a day, and apparently, the firewall showed the following messages:

FW.IPv6 FORWARD drop and FW.IPv6 INPUT drop.

I'm currently using the provided cable and the provided equipment. My desktop is hardwired to the modem. I think I need a technician to help me fix this problem.

Thank you.

P.S. Ironically, the internet cut off yet again when I tried to post this.

I realize you are not a Comcast employee and probably just trying to help, but your response is not helpful You gave VERY generic info on how to troubleshoot. This info does NOTHING to help with the specific question.

@user_d082d7 Sorry you feel that way. Those tips have helped thousands of people over the years ! It's called basic troubleshooting / process of elimination. Those error messages can be caused by a simple RF signal / line imparment problem. Are you even the original poster ?

@user082019 Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums! I see @EG had provided the link to our basic troubleshooting steps. Can you confirm if you've already tried those steps? Also, you mentioned this is a desktop that is hardwired to the modem and it's a firewall providing the error. Are you experiencing drops in connection on any other devices that are connected to Wi-Fi or is this only happening with your desktop?

Are you connecting to the into with a VPN while using the desktop?

@XfinityBillie I'm having same logs come up, no desktop, only 2 cell phones, multiple cameras that constantly don't record because dropped wifi even though they are set to 24/7 recording , also an hp printer, and 2 smart tvs are the only things n the wifi. Does the FW.IPv6 FORWARD drop and FW.IPv6 INPUT drop code mean I have port forwards enabled?

@user_40ewdo

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 5-month-old dead thread is now being closed.

For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's old thread can delay getting help.
