falso account

Someone opened an Xfinity home account in my name.  No payment was made and the account was eventually closed by Xfinity.   (I have internet service though Xfinity and that account is on autopay so always paid on time.  The chat box doesn’t understand and when I wait a VERY long time to talk to customer service, they claim to understand and state the account will be closed and my name taken off. This has never happened in spite of multiple attempts.  Now the account has been closed and sent to collection.   (My real Xfinity account remains working and on autopay).  Wondering if I should contact the federal government consumer fraud division. Definitely getting ready to leave terrible customer service reviews on social media.
