Ethernet working perfectly but WiFi keeps acting up
I am the only one that uses my home internet. i have the 400mbps plan and any time during the day or night, when i use my phone on wifi, it will either load pages but not content (photos videos comments etc), or not load anything at all and say "offline". reguardless if i have a VPN turned on or not, it does this. i have restarted my router multiple times and this problem only occured after i got a call from xfinity's marketing team asking if i wanted to switch from 100mbps to 400 for $5 more. after switching boxes and accounts to the one with the plan, this is what happened. i have no problems with my wired computer making it purly wifi. signal strength when working is strong ( well over 200-300mbps).

Hi there, @user_2d85cd Thank you so much for allowing us your time tonight. I'm very sorry for the inconvience you are experiencing with your Wi-Fi service. I understand how frustrating this is for you. Has your modem been moved from the originally installed location? The Wi-Fi signal can be distorted by walls, distance, and even microwaves can interfere with your Wi-Fi signal. Weaker Wi-Fi signals mean slower speeds and frequent disconnects. You can tell if signal interference and weak Wi-Fi signals are your issues if your connection works well near your router but is extremely slow in the next room.

Some tips for improving WiFi performance;

There are other options. Google for WiFi repeaters / range extenders, WiFi mesh systems / pods, powerline ethernet adapters, MoCA adapters. Good luck !
