Ethernet ports around apartment not working
Hi,
I recently moved into an apartment at the beginning of the month. An Xfinity technician came out to set up the internet, and it has been working perfectly fine since then.
I noticed there are a large number of Ethernet ports throughout the unit. In my den, I have my desktop/work area set up. I’ve tried connecting multiple Ethernet cables from the wall ports to my computer, but I’m still not receiving an internet connection.
Is this something I need to contact a technician about to come out and take another look?
I find it hard to believe the apartment has so many ports if none of them are able to provide internet. I’ve attached a few photos of the current setup. Please advise.

As far as I can see, all those wires in the upper left are not connected to anything and I can't see any Ethernet out of the Xfinity router. (Just a connection in from the EPON.) You might see if the building maintenance guy wants to put some RJ45 connectors on those wires for you.
Actually you can DIY those too, but it's probably best to ask first!
