Ethernet port question

I have a new wireless gateway model TG4482A. Port 4 is marked with a red stripe and any device I connect to it shows as orange - amber light,  which usually means a slower connection. Anyone knows is this a special port? And should I plug anything into it?

Thanks

Right now I got nothing connected to port 4 (labeled with red stripe) If I do connect some device to it, will I get any benefits from it or will it work like any other port?

The red port will work as a regular 10/1000 port but ALSO as a 2.5Gb port IF and ONLY if you have a 2.5gb speed (which Xfinity doesn't currently offer, they only offer up to a 1.2gb speed. So yes, it's a standard gigabit port for all intents and purposes. Use it or not. It only blinks Amber because it is not finding anything 2.5 GB capable. So not a big deal and it won't hurt a bit to use it. I currently have my router plugged into it and it blinks Amber and I have a 1 GB connection. Just ignore the amber light. It means nothing at this point. I assume it's for future use when Xfinity offers much higher speed connections as technology advances. Until then it's a regular old land port. Use it or don't totally doesn't make a difference whatsoever I get the same speeds plugged into that or plugged into one of the other ports one through three and get the same result regardless.
