Epson printer not connecting to Wifi due to MAC Address Filtering check
My Epson 2850 will not connect to wifi. It has previously been connected to wifi with the exact same set up/we've changed nothing, but all of a sudden it says it can't connect due to failing the MAC Address Filtering Check. Which I can't even find anywhere in the xfinity app/settings. We have the XB7 model - and that says in the gateway details that it has a MAC address - which I can put on here if needed but nowhere can I add the printer's MAC address. Yes I have turned the printer off on. Yes I have turned the modem/Gateway off and on. Yes I have turned them both off at the same time and turned on the modem and then turned on the printer. Yes I have uninstalled the printer from my computer and reinstalled it and tried to reconnect to the internet. It fails at the MAC address every single time. It printed a single document today that had been in the print queue, so I thought that maybe it had somehow fixed itself, but now its just giving me the error message again. When I go to WIFI, Devices and click on my printer, it just shows it offline. When I did this after it printed the document this morning it showed it was connected and I tested the signal and it came back strong, but then nothing would print again... anyone have any solutions? It seems this is not an uncommon problem based on the search feature here.

Ok I think I figured it out by piecing together information from different posts and responses. You have to go to http://10.0.0.1/ (if you have an Xfinity owned modem) - login in with username "admin" and password is "password" Then on the left hand side of the screen you click "Connection" and it drops a menu. Click "Wi-Fi" and that opens up a page with a subsection titled "MAC Filter Setting." My Epson printer was listed under "Auto-Learned Wi-Fi Devices," but had a button "ADD" next to it. So I clicked add and it listed my printer under a "Wi-Fi Control List." Then clicked "Save Filter Settings" at the bottom of the page. I then followed the steps on my printer to add the Wi-Fi and was able to print. Good Luck.
