EPON FTTH with XB7 Gateway questions

Hey Xfinity, i'm a student and need bridge mode. Can someone help answer some questions about the CGM4331COM device? Let me know who would like to be DM'd.

Thanks.

Hey @LeakBound, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. It appears you are using our Xfinity xFi Gateway, more specifically the XB7 model. You can quickly and easily enable Bridge Mode by logging into the Admin GUI. You can find the steps by visiting our 'Use Bridge Mode on your wireless gateway' support page. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

@XfinityDemitrius Thanks for the info. When in bridge mode the only port that gives the xb7 internet (the light turns solid white instead of blinking orange) is the rj56 jack with the red line on it. All of the other ports do not communicate with the cat cable coming from the box that converts the fiber to cat. However, when the xb7 has internet in this configuration in bridge mode, none of the other ports work.

Also, it seems as though when I reverted back to normal mode that all of my ethernet ports on the xb7 are only getting 100/100 mbps instead of the usual 1000/1000 im subscribed to.

@LeakBound, Thank you for that update we appreciate it! What router are you using in bridge mode connected to the XB7?

@XfinityChelseaB I'm planning to use the TP-Link Archer AX21 AX1800, but ethernet passthrough doesnt work on any port connected directly to my PC.

@LeakBound  All the ethernet ports should be working, but only one device can be connected to the gateway while in Bridge Mode. When you set up Bridge Mode was it through the Admin tool or the Xfinity App? Before you made these changes to your gateway was the other ports pull 1G?

So i have isolated my problem. My cat6 cable was partially failing and only gave 100mbps, I replaced it with a new cable and my issue is resolved. Everything is working as intended.
