Does xfinity X1 router support multicast broadcasts?
Does xfinity X1 router support multicast broadcasts?
I have a skybell that won't communicate notifications (video is fine, just no notifications) with my alarm panel because it requires the wifi router to support multicast broadcasts.
I've troubleshooted this for days & the this is the last item that it could possibly be! Yes, the skybell & the panel are both on the same 2.4 network.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Going forward, I believe enabling Device Discovery should help great in your home network situations as it will allow devices to automatically discover each other's presence and begin sharing data. Just be aware that there may be some potential security vulnerabilities involved when using features like device discovery / network discovery / UPnP. Trading security for convenience may not always be good practice. YMMV. You can Google for more info.
