DNS Resolver reverts to Comcast
I have my own modem/router so that I can use a custom DNS resolver on my network. I am finding that every day or couple of days the DNS resolver reverts to Comcast. Nothing changes about the configuration of the modem or the IP address, it just reverts. To get it back to my custom DNS resolver I reboot the modem and we are back in business. I'd rather not have to do that every day. Does anyone have any ideas about why this would happen?

Xfinity's DHCP and DHCPv6 servers upstream from you pass out DNS info along with the lease times, IP addresses, subnet mask and gateway info.
If that's overwriting what you are setting on your gear to pass out for DNS on the LAN to clients, it's not Xfinity. That's your gear not honoring your settings.
It's pretty hard for anyone to guess what you are using for equipment, but I'd look at bug reports, and the user forum for your gear and see if it's a known issue, or an update you can apply that fixes it. Whatever that is.

Hello, @user_1da697. With having a customer set up on your network, our options are limited with troubleshooting and recommend reaching out to your device manufacturer for assistance to confirm everything is configured properly. I'm glad to hear that doing the reboot of the router has been able to fix the issue as a workaround.
