Daily outages

We are now having daily outages, sometimes hourly. What is going on? I normally work from home but have been going into work since I cannot depend on Xfinity internet staying up. I am close to switching to ATT.

Please advise, I am in the Orange Park South subdivision in Orange Park FL

First. Check their site for official info on any possible local outages here;

Use a cell phone internet service, a public WiFi hotspot, or a neighbor's internet if you need to in order to check it.

Or you can use their Xfinity App: https://www.xfinity.com/apps

the problem is it goes down maybe 5-10 minutes comes back for an hour or two and then back down for another period of time. By the time it would register at Xfinity, it is back up.

This causes my connection to work to drop and try to reconnect, comes back up, then internet goes out again, my work connection drops, rinse, repeat..,,

user_chaserb Thanks for reaching out to us for assistance with your connection concern while at home. When service is down for a whole area normally we do get a notice, and put it on our website as a known issue. If they aren't showing there when yours goes down it may just be something affecting your home. I too work from home, and know the importance of a stable connection, and would be happy to assist with finding and fixing the cause.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon

Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon

In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"

As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.

An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.

Press Enter to send it.
