connecting fire tv to XFINITY screen is frozen

I tried to connect my fire tv (which is brand new), the error code  net..ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE. I can't make this screen go away. I've unplugged the tv, and it's still there. So far nothing has worked. Please help

Thank you for reaching out. I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with your new Fire TV. I’d be happy to help you get this resolved.

The error code NET.ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE typically indicates an issue with the network connection. Here are a few steps you can try to fix this:

  1. Restart Your Modem and Router:

    • Unplug your modem and router from the power source, wait 30 seconds, and plug them back in. Once your network is back online, try reconnecting your Fire TV.
  2. Check Your Network Connection on Fire TV:

    • Go to Settings > Network on your Fire TV. Select your Wi-Fi network and ensure it’s connected.
    • You may also run a network status check to confirm the connection is working.

If none of these steps work, please let us know, and we’ll explore additional options!

Please create a new topic of your own here on this board detailing your issue. Thanks. The original poster has not returned. 5-month-old dead thread is now being closed.

For future reference, it is better to submit your own post as it creates a ticket to get help, and posting on someone else's older thread can delay getting help.
