Can't see SSID from one of my computers.

Hi,

One of my computers can't see my wifi SSID, but all other devices can. I found this article on the support forum:

https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Your-Home-Network/Wifi-not-showing-up/m-p/3351901#

and tried to change my wifi mode as suggested. However, when I login to make that update it is greyed out and says that wifi mode is being managed for me and won't let me update.

Is there a way I can get that setting updated as described in the linked post?

Try going into your computers device manager, network, click  in your network adapter, advanced, if the mode is auto, change it to G, that worked for another poster, good luck

Another possibility.

The two WiFi bands have recently been combined into one with the Comcast gateway devices. Some devices get confused and don't know how to see / talk to combined bands.

If you are not using any Xfi Pods, you can try separating the 2.4 and the 5.0 bands and give them two different broadcast names / SSID's;

Associate the computer with the 2.4 or the 5.0 (whichever one works) band's SSID (broadcast name) and password.
