can't access ipower hosted website

This started a few days ago -- I can't access a website hosted by iPower. 3 web address all direct to the same webpage. 2 of the addresses (including the actual hosted page) resolve fine, but one of them always times out. This only happens from my house and another person (miles away, but also on xfinity internet). AT&T and other mobile carriers work, as does my work account. (NOTE: If I use a public site like dnschecker.org/.online-traceroute.php, all 3 addresses work. I'll paste that working tracert as well).  I'm pretty sure this is a problem on xfinity's network.

I also can't access a website hosted by iPower.  Did you have any luck with Xfinity?

no. i've reported the problem to spa.xfinity.com/report, I've reported it on this post as well as another, and I've posted on reddit. The number of websites continues to grow. it seems that all of the sites hosted on this IP address (66.96.149.32) are blocked. (Its common to host multiple simple sites on the same IP address and then use their host name to figure out which site to actually serve up... I don't think they are even all iPower sites, they just use the same underlying host provider.

The only reddit response was a generic "report it to us" which eventually leads to spa.xfinity.com/report. (i suggest you report it there just to keep piling on)

@tonyahtht - Thank you for your detailed post! Have you tried to submit a request to have a blocked website reviewed for possible unblocking? Here is how:

1) Go to spa.xfinity.com.
2) Select Report an issue at the bottom of the page.
3) Select I can't reach a website that I want to go to from the drop-down menu. Then, click Continue.
4) Fill out the required fields.
- Enter the full URL for the blocked site.
- Enter your email address to receive a confirmation email.
- Add any other comments you’d like to provide.
5) Click Review.
6) Review your answers and click Submit.
7) You'll get a confirmation email once we receive your report.
Please let us know if this info helps. Thank you!

@XfinityThomasA yes. I (and others) have all reported this to spa.xfinity.com. I think the earliest report was on the 27th. My question on reddit suggested that I call Customer Security Assurance directly. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, they also pointed me to spa.xfinity.com and told me there was nothing else they could do.

So we are now 3 days with all xfinity customers being blocked from these legitimate sites, including comcast business customers being prevented from accessing their business, and there doesn't appear to be any end in sight.

@tonyahtht - Thank you for taking the steps to report this to spa.xfinity.com. The request will be reviewed, and an update will typically be provided within three business days.

Xfinity xFi Advanced Security protects all of your connected devices for added peace of mind and is available to Xfinity Internet subscribers who rent a compatible xFi Gateway. Advanced Security blocks websites that are determined to be potentially dangerous. These sites may contain malware, spyware, ransomware, or viruses that can infect devices and make them vulnerable to personal data collection, blackmail, or attacks on other computers and networks.

Have you tried turning off xFi Advanced Security to see if you're then able to access the site?

To turn off the Advanced Security feature in the Xfinity app:
Go to the Security tab.
Select Advanced Security.
Select Turn Off under Advanced Security and follow the on-screen prompts.

Please note: this is not an Advanced Security block, it's an IP block for all Comcast customers, whether they are using Advanced Security or not, and whether they are using a Comcast rental gateway or their own retail Internet equipment.
