Cannot disable xfinitywifi public hotspot

I disabled at .../settings/security/hotspot.  It indicated it might take up to 24 hours, but two days later it's still broadcasting

Yes, the public Wi-Fi seems to have stopped.  Please update the 24 hour estimate on the xfinity website as it is not accurate.

As a follow-on question, is there a way to stop all of the HIDDEN SSID broadcasts?  Nothing I have uses these, they are just additional interference

Just to clarify, are you referring to SSIDs broadcasted by other customers and businesses in your area @N0_service?
