Cannot activate gateway
I recently moved and decided to bring along my xfinity plan as well. I registered I was moving with xfinity and got everything set up, but cannot activate my internet service. The gateway is blinking white which makes me believe i am connected to the internet but unable to activate. I am using the xfinity modem, which i thought was supposed to be pretty painless....
When I go through the app it searches, begins to activate my service and then says that "something is not quite right" I have been trying for three days and have no idea how I would even get support? Do I really need to ask for basic customer support through a forum or reddit? The app tells me to contact an agent and there is never an agent available?

Try calling 1-855-652-3446. That is their self-install device activation line.
If that doesn't work for you, you can call 1-800-comcast and tell a rep that you would like to have a new modem provisioned for service. Have the RF / CM / HFC MAC address and the serial number of it handy when you call.

To send a "direct message" / "private message" message to Xfinity Support:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
• - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
• - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send it
